Abstract��The trial-manufactured frame rail for automobile by beam steel (yield strength is 620-700 MPa grade) was introduced. The analytical methods including metallographic structure observation�� mechanical property testing and fracture observation by scanning electron microscope (SEM) were adopted. The influence of high strength beam steel material on trial-manufacture process was preliminarily evaluated by theoretical calculation of each key process and process adjustment in actual production of frame rails. The results indicated that the trial-manufactured frame rail for automobile by beam steel (yield strength is 620-700 MPa grade) could meet the requirements of trail process and product quality.
