Abstract��The formation mechanism of AC leakage magnetic field and the steel rod MFL signal acquisition technology were introduced�� and the inherent deviation of the detection signal caused by the lift off effect in the steel bar AC magnetic flux leakage detection was obtained. And the effects of the various factors in the actual detection�� which were the steel bar surface roughness�� the equipment concentricity�� the rotating probe symmetry�� the steel bar bending and the steel bar surface oxide etc.�� on the detection results and the corresponding measures were comprehensively analyzed. The effective basis for finding and overcoming the abnormal detection results and the effective guarantee for the reasonable control of the quality risk were provided�� and the magnetic flux leakage testing reliability of the steel bars was improved.
