Abstract��The cracking of the cover plate under the bolster of a truck was found in the running process. The chemical composition�� mechanical property�� metallography and fracture morphology were analyzed. The results showed that the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the cover plate under the bolster met the requirements�� the microstructure of the matrix was the ferrite and pearlite. And there was alternating stress on the cover plate under the bolster�� the cracks were along the rolling direction of the cover plate�� which were fatigue fracture.
