Abstract��In order to solve the problem of the uneven cooling and insufficient cooling capacity of the NCC��Normalizing Controlled Cooling��system�� the cooling polar tube and water supply pipe in the NCC system were rebuilt. After the transformation�� the pole tube was more intensive�� the water supply pressure and cooling water flow rate were increased. The cooling experiments were carried out with the 80 mm and 100 mm thick plates. The results showed�� after the transformation�� due to the increase of the cooling capacity�� the strength loss of the normalized steel plate was reduced�� which ensured the qualified rate of the normalized steel plate. The stable production of the thick steel plate was realized.
