AbstractThe size and distribution of the grain inhibitors in non-oriented electrical steel were studied and the microstructure and precipitates of the hot rolled plate of non-oriented electrical steel produced by CSP were observed. The results showed that compared with the hot rolled plate produced by the conventional thick slab continuous casting the oxide inclusions in the hot rolled plate produced by CSP process were finer and the distribution was more uniform. The high finish rolling temperature for CSP process can cause the full recrystallization and grain growth and the structure of the hot rolled plate was relatively coarse equiaxed ferrite which can improve the composition of the texture of the final product and has a significant impact on the performance of magnetic induction.
