Abstract��A quick test method of contact fatigue was conducted based on the cumulative damage theory�� to measure the contact fatigue limit of the material with less cost and few samples in a relatively short period. The measurement point of the high stress level and the step loading method were employed without reference to the curve and slope parameters. According to the Miner equation�� the slope parameter was solved�� then the contact fatigue limit was obtained. The limitations of the conventional contact fatigue quick test methods were overcome�� and the error compared to the results of the standard test method was about 3%. Thus�� it was suitable for the research of the material contact fatigue properties.
