Abstract��The demands on the content of oxygen and non-metallic inclusion in steel and the slab quality for GCr15 bearing steel are very strict. Through the proper end-point control of converter�� the end point oxygen was controlled within 0.010%-0.020%. The LF refining slag with high basicity[(R��4)]and high A12O3 content were applied to make the inclusion with high melting point transform into the inclusion with low melting point�� and the FeO��MnO content in the refining slag was controlled under 1% to reduce its oxidation ability. The casting process was reasonably controlled�� which ensured the slab macrostructure in good condition. The quality of the GCr15 bearing steel in the trial production met the requirements of the standard of GB/T 18254.
