Abstract��Generally�� the nonmagnetic materials used for the generator and motor are austenite stainless steel�� copper and copper alloy�� aluminum and aluminum alloy. But the strength of these materials are lower. A new nonmagnetic material used for the main pump motor was introduced�� which had higher strength and belonged to the precipitation hardening austenite steel. The main alloy elements in the steel were C�� Mn�� Cr�� Ni and V. The structure of the material was calculated and predicted by CAE software�� and verified by the optical microscope�� scanning electron microscope�� and XRD. The study showed that the base structure of this steel after the solution and aging heat treatment was austenite�� in which the carbide particles were dispersively distributed. And these carbides were Cr23C6 and VC. The verification result was in good agreement with the software prediction result.
