Abstract��A new type of mechanical test equipment was described�� which can realize the combined loading�� so that the online detection for the material can be realized. Compared with the results obtained by the traditional commercial mechanical test equipment�� the tested results obtained by the new equipment were stable and highly identical with the results of the traditional equipment. Thus�� the new equipment can be used to test various mechanical properties. The tensile-torsion combined loading tests of IF steel were carried out by using the combined loading equipment��and the results showed that on the condition of the combined loading�� the properties of IF steel were different from that on the condition of the single loading. And the tensile strength was lower than that of single tensile�� and the greater the torsional rate�� the more obvious the decrease of the tensile strength.
