Abstract��In view of the substandard impact performance of hot-rolled Q345E steel plate at low temperature�� the performance test of steel plate was carried out by normalizing and normalization control cooling. The test results showed that the impact performance of Q345E hot rolled steel plate with the substandard impact performance was obviously improved after normal normalizing�� but the strength decreased obviously. After normalization control cooling�� the strength was higher than the result tested by normal normalizing. The lower the final cooling temperature and the faster the cooling rate�� the less the reduction of strength. The problem of the substandard impact performance of the hot-rolled steel plate Q345E was solved. The yield of steel was increased and the loss of the enterprise was reduced.
