Abstract��The 6 tons of protective atmosphere electroslag furnace in Fushun Special Steel Co.�� Ltd.�� newly introduced from Germany ALD company was used to remelt the GH4033 alloy. According to the change of element Al and Ti during electroslag remelting process�� a large amount of datas were accumulated�� which was used to analyze the burning mechanism in the electroslag remelting process. The results showed that when the Ti and Al content in the mother metal electrode stick was controlled within 2.60%-2.75% and 0.90%-1.00%�� respectively�� which was the electrode Ti/Al ratio controlled around 2.8�� it could help to reduce Ti element loss in the electroslag remelting process. Using CaF2�� Al2O3�� CaO and MgO quarternary slag system could reduce the loss of Ti elements. According to the Ti content in the mother electrode�� the TiO2 powder with 3.4% a total slag amount could better control the burning loss of Ti elements�� at the same time�� head and tail deviation could be controlled within 0.2%.
