Abstract ��Shisteel imported a set of OLYMPUS phased array ultrasonic testing device in 2015. It was used to test the performance indexes of the phased array UT device�� including static calibration�� signal to noise ratio�� missed and false alarm rate�� circumferential sensitivity�� bar end blind area and stability�� in combination with the system calibration and related standards. The test results showed that the equipment was stable�� reliable�� accurate. The highest inspection precision reaching AAA level of national standard GB/T 4162��2008. It effectively ensured the quality of bars in Shisteel after being inspected and provided guidance for other enterprises to test the comprehensive performance of similar UT device.
