Abstract:To confirm the heat affected zone of laser cutting on steel with different thickness, based on a large number of tests, by the hardness testing and microstructure analysis, the change law of the heat affected zone is summed up. The results show that for the same material, the thickness of the cutted material has a significant effect on the heat affected zone. As the thickness increases, the heat affected zone increases. Combined with the results of the tests, a proposal for the revision of GB/T 2975 is put forward, and the laser cutting method is first written as a data appendix, which can remove the heat affected zone of laser cutting according to allowance recommended in the standard.
