Abstract:The factors of surface piebald caused by oxidation corrosion on the surface of shipplate steel are analyzed systematically. The results show that the factors such as impurities,heating system,rolling process syetem,heating atmosphere,ensuring the purity of liquid steel and avoiding the involvement of protective slag are the main reasons for surface piebald. In addition,the impurity content inliquid steel is the chief reason for surface corrosion and piebald. So,optimization of melting process system and rolling process system can avoid surface corrosion and decrease surface piebald.
