Abstract:The grain of a hot rolling wire rod was observed by the LEICA optical microscope in the multiple of 100,and the average intercept of grains was measured by intersection point method in the metallographic analysis software. Then,the source of uncertainty in measuring the average intercept was analyzed,and each uncertainty component was evaluated.Finally,the synthetic uncertainty and the expanded uncertainty of the average grain size were calculated,according to the uncertainty propagation law.
