Application of micro hardness in brazing performance analysis of aluminum alloy

Abstract:For the different reigions and phase compositions of aluminum alloy brazing seam,micro Vickers hardness test was carried out by a micro Vicker shardness tester to quantify the different structures and compounds in the brazing seam for bonding layer between the brazing filler metal and base material and thechanges of physical properties of the base material were. Scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive spectrometer were used to analyze the structure related to hardness testing,determine its composition. The Vicker shardness of the bonding layer between solder and the base material,as well as the influence of solder or brazing process on the base material were.The results showed that the micro Vickers hardness test could be applied on the analysis of brazing seam of aluminum alloy,and the results could be used to analyze the brazing performance by combining scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive spectrometer.
