A review on high temperature confocal scanning laser microscope applied in steel materials

Abstract:The working principle and main function of high temperature confocal scanning lase rmicroscope were introduced. Moreover,the investigation progresses were concluded in detail in the steel metallurgy field,material investigation field and welding field,which included the inclusion floating behavior,gathering behavior,growing and gathering mechanics,transformation behaviorand soon. This paper mainly focused on investigation of traditional transformation characters in steels by using of high temperature confocal microscope,such as pearlite transformation,bainite transformation and martensite transformation. The particles pinning grain boundary behavior and particles solving behavior were discussed. The main existing problems were analyzed and the suggestions were offered. Finally,the future application study of the high temperature confocal scanning laser microscope in the material research field was also put forward.
