Abstract: A rotational erosion-corrosion testing device was designed, and the zinc bar was applied to suppress the occurrence of corrosion during erosion-corrosion testing. The weight loss due to pure erosion and pure corrosion can be measured. The test results showed that the device ran stably and the test data was reliable. The erosion-corrosion resistance of several test steels was evaluated in simulated seawater dredging conditions by the device. And the experimental results were consistent well with the experience from practical applications resistance, indicating that the testing device can accurately evaluate the erosion-corrosion resistance of steel during dredging. It can provide a basis for the selection of erosion-corrosion resistant materials in dredging operation.
