Abstract:The plane distribution and line distribution of Cr in steel materials were analyzed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) under acceleration voltage of 10 kV. The results showed that the excitation of Cr was not enough under acceleration voltage of 10 kV, and only L-line of Cr could be excited, which was overlapped with L-line of Fe, leading to the errors in line distribution and plane distribution of Cr in steel materials. With the help of energy spectrum software, the L-line of Cr was manually changed to K-line, which successfully solved the spectral superposition between Cr and Fe. The line distribution and plane distribution of Cr in steel materials were correctly characterized.
