Abstract:The defects of the pipeline sandwich in the process of remaining thickness measurement by ultrasonic were analyzed and discussed. Grid measurement method and distribution measurement method were combined for data analysis. In other words, the thickness distribution of measured data was simulated using threedimensional images by the grid measurement method (the measuring space was 1 mm). Then the thickness variation was analyzed. The locations with problems were selected for metallographic analysis to find out the reasons for the problems. Finally, the application and expansion of the proposed method was discussed.
