Abstract:The aim of this system was to prevent the vehicles from collision and to reduce the frequency of traffic accidents. The infrared detection module was used to detect the infrared which was radiated by the pedestrian and other motor vehicles when the engine was running, thus whether there were cars or pedestrians in front of the vehicle driven could be judged. At the temperature point where the infrared detection module was not suitable for human detection, the ultrasonic detection module was started to assist in the detection of pedestrians. According to the detection results of infrared detection module or ultrasonic assisted detection module, the following actions were automatically implemented: the issue or release of alarm, the autobrake or released, and the disengagement or engagement of car clutch. Consequently, the intelligent control of automobile collision prevention could be realized.
