82MnA high-carbon steel rod Drawing Fracture Analysis |

Abstract Abstract: ��12.5mm 82MnA high carbon steel of hot-rolled rod occurred Fracture when drawing , in order to find the reason why the rod fractured, we analyzed and tested the surface defects, microstructure, non-metallic inclusions by using stereo microscope, optical microscope, scanning electron microscope and X-ray energy dispersive spectrometer. The results showed that: 82MnA steel purity is not enough, wire rod��s surface defects, Heart Division Segregation, Heart Organization abnormal and DS Inclusion which led to ��12.5mm 82MnA high carbon steel rod breakage in the drawing process.
