Numerical simulation of hot blast stove combustion characteristics on the effect of preheated temperature |

Abstract Improving the blast temperature is still a major energy-saving technical measure in ironmaking procedure. In this paper, using the software of CFX, the combustion states were simulated numerically by adjusting the temperature of preheated combustion air. The results showed that with the temperature of preheated combustion air increasing , the combustion chamber acquired more uniform velocity field, shorter flame, and downward expansion of high-temperature zone, but no effect on combustion efficiency, which provided theoretical basis to the practicing operation for 1280�� blast temperature.
