Study on the influencing factors of Tube-Ring-Expanding Test |
Abstract Metallic materials-Tube-Ring-Expanding Test is a very important method which is used to reveal defects both on the surfaces and within the tube wall by expanding the test piece using a conical mandrel until fracture occurs. It may be also used to assess the ability of tubes to undergo plastic deformation. This method now has been widely used in various metallic tubes. The influence of material and force loading times towards degree of expansion and destroy force was discussed in this paper. This research prepare for the future formulation of Metallic materials-Tube-Ring-Expanding Test national standards.
