Application on railway aluminum alloy welding via welding robot |

Abstract Compared double-wire with single-wire welding robot from facet of welding efficiency, weld quality and weld mechanical property. As far as welding 4V weld was concerned, the efficiency of double-wire welding was 100% more than single-wire, welding input reduced for 18%, amount of shielding gas saved for 33%, and strength was improved for 10~15MPa. So double-wire welding is suitable for welding long and straight weld in railway field. On the other hand, double-wire welding robot required higher level for operator and equipment, so it is not employed universally, and it takes a long process for double-wire welding to replace single-wire welding.
