Abstract To the problem of gland cracks, the fracture was analyzed by chemical composition analysis, hardness test, metallographic examination, scanning electron microscopy analysis and other measure. The results show that the gland tissue is abnormal and there are a large number of small sulfides in raw material. The cause of cracking is transformation of temper brittleness by analyzing production process and fracture morphology.
