Analysis on Tensile Fracture of HRB400 Rebar Welding Joint |

Abstract By means of optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) the tensile fracture of HRB400 rebar after welding joint was analysed. Experimental results showed that the partially unwelded joint is the main reason of tensile fracture. Through strictly conducting welding process, eliminating or reducing gap part, the tensile fracture of HRB400 rebar joint could be effectively prevented.
