Uncertainty assessment of hardness measurement results |

Abstract The brinell hardness test is one of the basic experiments to study the performance of metal materials�� and the accuracy of the results is a direct reference to the research of the material characteristics and the evaluation of the quality of products. The uncertainty of the King3000 brinell hardness tester in the measurement process was evaluated. By analyzing the principle and process of the hardness measurement and fully considering the uncertainty sources�� the uncertainty components were evaluated�� the synthetic standard uncertainty was obtained and the expanded uncertainty was calculated.
