Abstract Internal inclusion was one of the commonly detected defects in Fushun Special Steel Co.�� Ltd. The internal inclusion was analyzed by detected positional sampling�� acid leaching�� microscope and scanning electron microscope. 20Cr and 20CrMnTi belonged to low carbon aluminum deoxidation steel. And the internal inclusion was the oxide inclusion�� which chemical composition was mainly Al-Mg-Ca-O. The cause was that the inclusion was not removed after the reaction of refining deoxidation product Al2O3 and liquid steel. Thus�� the internal inclusion could be improved by modifying the composition of refining slag.
