Research progress in preparation of aluminum nitride by carbothermal reduction nitridation

Aluminum nitride ceramics are the ideal substrate materials and electronic packaging materials due to their excellent comprehensive performances in thermal，electrical，optical and mechanical aspects. The carbothermal reduction method is an important commercial production method for AlN powder. The research progresses of AlN powders prepared by the carbothermal reduction method at home and abroad were reviewed from the aspects of process and rection mechanism，and the future research direction was prospected.
