Development and Application of a New Metallurgically-bonded Seamless Bimetallic Composite Pipe

Abstract
The research and development of a new metallurgically-bonded seamless bimetallic composite pipe is carried out. A series of key technologies difficulties are overcome, including the composite pipe-used billet preparation,hot forming,cold forming and heat treatment and so on. A new metallurgically-bonded seamless bimetallic composite pipe and related supporting technologies concerning welding, threaded connection and tubular fitting manufacturing are developed. The results of relevant performance tests show that the product interface achieves metallurgical bonding with high bonding strength,and the collaborative optimization of mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the pipe are also achieved. The comprehensive performance of the pipe is superior to existing similar products, which adapts to high-temperature, high-pressure and highly-corrosive working conditions. The product has achieved satisfactory effectiveness in engineering applications, featuring remarkable technical and economic advantages, and having broad engineering application prospects,as well as significant economic benefits.
