Effect of JCOE Forming Process on Mechanical Properties of X65 Heavy-walled Steel Pipe

  • Analyzed here in the essay are the change regularity of tensile and Charpy impact properties at different positions in the wall thickness direction before and after JCOE pipe manufacture by means of testing the transverse tensile and Charpy impact properties at different wall thickness positions of the X65 steel plate with 38 mm wall thickness,and the steel pipe. The results show that the yield strength,tensile strength,and yield ratio of the LSAW pipe made by JCOE process in different positions in the wall thickness direction are more or less improved;and the increase of tensile strength on the upper and lower surfaces of the steel plate is greater than that in the middle of the steel plate,and the increase of yield strength is greater than that of tensile strength. The Charpy impact toughness of the material after pipe making decreases to varying degrees in the different positions in the wall thickness direction,and the decrease of Charpy impact toughness on the upper and lower surfaces of the steel plate is greater than that in the middle of the steel plate.
