Reducing Fuel Ratio While Increasing Oxygen Enrichment To Enhance Blast Furnace Output

  • Based on the real performance data of No.3 Blast Furnace of Baosteel, the article presents analysis on the effect of reducing fuel ratio, increasing oxygen enrichment on the intensified operation of the blast furnace. The analysis indicates that reducing fuel ratio while increasing oxygen enrichment, thus decreasing the specific bosh gas volume is decisive to the intensified operation of the blast furnace within the allowable bosh gas volume limits. The real performance data are provided in nomograph so as to facilitate evaluation of the performance of the blast furnace.
