Equilibrium Solubility of Ti in ferrite
-
Abstract
According to the equilibrium solubility formulae of Fe2Ti in ferrite deduced by Thermo-Calc and concerned references and the formation energy of Fe2Ti, the equilibrium solubility formulae of titanium in ferrite have been derived as logTiα=1.632+2293/T (850 ~ 1100K) and logTiα=0.2477+3401/T (300 ~ 800K) respectively. These findings would be important in researching the solubility product of carbide, nitride and/or carbonitide of titanium in iron matrix and related solution/precipitation behavior.
