Control and study nitrogen concentration in steelmaking process

In order to control the nitrogen in the steel and improve the inherent quality of the products, on the basis of technological research in the process of BOF-LF-CC, the influcing factors and controlling technology of the nitrogen concentration in the liquid steel. In order to meet the needs of steel quality for decreasing nitrogen, the following measures were taken : an optimal changing - over time of nitrogen and argon was kept at about 11 minutes, avoiding reblowing time,replacing tap hole; avoiding steel being exposed to the atmosphere in LF furnace, and the operation of large amount slag embedding; adopting protected pouring process.
