Application of large size steel bar in engineering and its production technology transformation

  • Large sized hot-rolled ribbed steel bars are widely used in important structures and parts of various large and medium-sized hydropower stations and large scale infrastructure projects. Although the basic performance of large-sized building steel bars on the market meets the national standards, when they are used in large-scale projects, especially in large-scale hydropower stations, bridges and caverns, the problems such as torsion and roundness of longitudinal ribs lead to the problems of steel bar processing, reinforcement quality and so on it is difficult to bind and weld, which increases the labor cost and causes a lot of steel bar waste. This paper focuses on the problems existing in the actual use of large-scale steel bars, and how to tackle key problems and innovate the steel rolling production process, so as to produce products that fully meet the needs of large-scale projects, reduce waste and cost.
