Physical simulation of bottom blowing argon in 150 t ladle

Abstract
In order to evaluate the influence of gas supply flow, proportion and bottom blowing element type on bottom blowing argon process of 150 t ladle in a domestic steel plant, a 1:4 physical simulation model was established to study the influence of total gas supply, gas supply mode and bottom blowing element type on mixing time. The results show that the mixing time of ladle with two types of bottom blowing elements decreases with the increase of total gas supply. The mixing time of diffusion type bottom blowing element is less than that of slit type under small gas supply, but the two are opposite under large gas supply, and the mixing time of slit type bottom blowing element is more affected by gas supply model. Under the experimental conditions, the bottom blowing position far away from the center of the ladle has larger bottom blowing flow, which is conducive to mixing.
