Flow stress and microstructure of the warm deformation of martensite microstructure in 45 steel

  • The rheological curves of martensite (M) in 45 steel were measured on a Gleeble-3500 thermal simulator in a warm compression test. The results showed that the flow stress of martensite decreased with the increase of deformation temperature,and the grain of ferrite (F) changed to equiaxed grain. In addition,the mechanism leading to the above rheological behavior of M tissue was discussed.
