Development and application of No.7 BF condition diagnosis system in WISCO

Abstract
The furnace condition diagnosis system of WISCO No. 7 BF was developed,including the radar monitoring system of top burden level, the structure model of upper burden layer of furnace shaft,the hot surface slag thickness monitoring model of copper cooling stave in high heat load area, process parameter calculation and pattern recognition of furnace condition in WISCO blast furnace expert system. Case base and knowledge base were established. The radar monitoring system of the top burden level and the structure model of the upper burden layer of furnace shaft can directly reflect the shape of the burden surface and the descending process of the upper burden,which provides an important reference for the control of burden distribution. The monitoring model of slag thickness on hot surface of copper stave is helpful to control furnace type and maintain normal operation of copper stave. The calculation of process parameters can reflect the change trend of blast furnace thermal state in time. The pattern recognition,case base and knowledge base can help operators to judge the state of furnace condition,and put forward the specific suggestions of furnace condition adjustment mode. After the application of the system,the technical indexes of BF utilization coefficient,gas utilization rate and fuel ratio have been obviously improved.
