Research and application of automatic control model for No.5 sintering machine in Meisteel

Abstract
Combined with the production practice of Meisteel 450 m2 sintering machine,aiming at the problems of difficult control of moisture,large fluctuations of material layer thickness,high proportion of sintering ore with small particle size,frequent phenomenon of supercooling and red ore running,the automatic control of adding water to the mixture,material layer thickness,finished ore material flow and ring cold cooling in the sintering production process was proposed and realized. After each automatic control model was put into use,the moisture fluctuation of mixture within 0. 2%, the thickness of the material layer is controlled within ( 720 ± 10 ) mm, the internal return rate of sintering is reduced from 21. 06% to 20. 38%, and the temperature of the ring-cooled ore is controlled within 130 ℃. It not only ensures the stability of the sintering production process,but also has significant effect in improving the quality of sintering ore and reducing production costs.
