Analysis and control of feathering defects on surface of cold rolled thin gauge high strength steel

  • In order to research the mechanism of the surface feathering defects of the thin gauge high strength steel produced by the 2 230 continuous annealing line, the SIAS strip inspection system and ZEISS scanning electron microscope are used to analyze the morphological characteristics of the defects, and the effects of the surface roughness, the transmission mode and the rolling force on the feathering defects are systematically analyzed. By optimizing the strip flattening process, matching the running speed of the strip, adjusting the roll roughness and other series of measures, the problem of the surface feathering defect of the thin gauge high strength steel is solved, which has achieved remarkable application effect.
