Coking test with gas coal and lean coal in Pansteel

  • In order to enrich the coal blending structure and reduce the coking cost under the condition of stabilizing the coke quality, the experimental study on coking with gas coal and lean coal was carried out. This test was based on the demand for coke quality of vanadium steel in Xichang, using the principle of overlap of the colloidal layer and the idea of similar substitution of coal grades, the coal blending coking test program with gas coal instead of 1/3 coking coal and lean coal instead of coking coal was formulated. The coke refining test was carried out on a 200 kg coke oven. The test results showed that the coal quality of coke decreased with the increase of the ratio of gas coal and lean coal. When the ratio of gas coal to coking coal was 15% and the ratio of lean coal to coking coal was 12%, the coke CSR was 55%, and the corresponding production coke quality can meet the demand of blast furnace.
