Technology Research and Practice on Decreasing Return Fines Ratio for Vanadium-Titanium Magnetite Concentrates Sintering
-
Abstract
Aiming at the actual problem that low strength and high return fines ratio result in low yield and high processing expenses during vanadium-titanium magnetite concentrates sintering, the sinter strength have been improved by optimizing ore blends and processing parameters, improving equipments performance, developing atomization cooling of rotary cooler and adopting compressed air in loosing bars. In the meantime, the operation of finished product system has been optimized and the transportation and sieve systems have been reconstructed to decrease sinter falling height and lighten impact, beat, and pulverization of sinter. By increasing mesh of sieve under blast furnace chute, canceling screening parts of pellets, recycling and charging return fines of size above 5mm into blast furnace, ameliorating recovery system, etc., the return fines amount has been reduced so that return fines rate is lower than 2.03%, and sinter output is increased to 246.700kt.
