Utilization Coefficient Optimization Model for Blast Furnace Iron-Making Process

  • An optimization model for blast furnace iron-making process was developed by taking the utilization coefficient as objective function. The utilization coefficient was related to bosh gas index. There were fifty linear and nonlinear constraints, including conservation of matter and energy, constraints of process, constraints of operation condition, and constraints of other design variables. There were sixteen optimization variables, including parameters of raw materials and fuels, process parameters, and parameters of pig iron quality. The optimized results were obtained by using SQP (sequential quadratic programming) method, and the model was verified by comparing the optimized results with the real data obtained from production. Using the optimization model and SQP method, the influences of bosh gas index, coal ratio, degree of direct reduction, blast temperature, blast humidity, and oxygen enrichment on utilization coefficient were analyzed.
