Study on Thermodymatics of Magnetic Roasting of Magnetic Separated Concentrates at Daye Mine

Abstract:Magnetic roasting followed by magnetic separation is a complex technique for beneficiation of tailing with high siderite at Daye Mine.Thermodynamic conditions of magnetic roasting are analyzed.The experiment results show that by CO dessociated from siderite and weak reducing atmosphere formed, low grade hematite with siderite could be reduced to magnetite totally within 10 to 60 seconds. By the wet magnetic separation at low intensity, the reduced ore is easily separated, and quality of concentrate is enhanced (w(TFe)>60%).
