Abstract:In this paper, the influence of MgO on sinter reducibility has been studied and analyzed through determining the reduction rate of sinter at different temperature and chemical composition via thermogravimetric analysis combining microstrcture of sinter. The study has shown that MgO has different rules on sinter reducibility at 850℃ and 1220℃, i.e.,it promotes reducibility of sinter at 850℃ and restrains sinter reduction at 1220℃. At the meanwhile, the effects of SiO2 and basicity on reducibility are effected by MgO, i.e., enhancement of basicity is inclined to reducibility, and the enhancing SiO2 content has adeverse effect on sinter reducibility, but both of which are weakend with the addition of MgO and Al2O3.
