Abstract:The phenomenon of Roll kiss in thin strip rolling has been studied by FEM, the influence of roll kiss on flatness control action has been computed, the concept of critical roll kiss force which is important to mill type design and rolling process develop. The critical roll kiss force domain of three common mill types in thin strip rolling has been compared, pointed out that the HC (UC) series mill types are beneficial to reduce roll kiss in thin strip rolling, at the same time the those mill types have been optimized and improved from perspective of roll profile, and through calculation authenticated that the optimized mill types are more beneficial to reduce roll kiss in thin strip rolling. On the base of simulation, according to the problem of roll kiss in a tin-plating temper mill, the technical program of optimization on middle roll shift and roll profile, tested and obtained obvious effect.
