Effect of Annealing Temperature of Hot-rolled Sheet on the Formability of an Ultra-Purified Cr17 Ferritic Stainless Steel Cold-rolled and Annealed Sheet
Abstract:The hot-rolled sheets of an ultra-purified Cr17 ferritic stainless steel stabilized with Nb and Ti were annealed at different temperatures and the effects on microstructure, texture and formability of final cold-rolled and annealed sheets were investigated. The results show that the annealing temperature is an important factor to affect the formability of final sheet. Increasing hot-rolled sheet annealing temperature leads to much bigger grain even mixed microstructure and weakened γ-fiber texture in final cold-rolled and annealed sheet which deteriorates the formability with a reduction of value and an increase of value. Therefore, the hot-rolled sheet annealing temperature should be as low as possible with the precondition of fully recrystallization. The final sheets of investigated steel showed the best formability with value of 1.8 and value of 0.15 when the hot rolled band was annealed at the temperature of 900℃.
