Effect of Temperature and Gas Pressure on Sulphur Capacity of CaOSiO2Al2O3MgOFetO system |

Abstract The sulphur capacity of CaOSiO2Al2O3MgOFetO slags with fixed slag composition,at different temperature and under different gas pressure was measured using gasslag equilibrium techniques.In Pt crucible, the slag was equilibrated with a mixture of CO, CO2, SO2 and N2 at required partial pressures of oxygen and sulphur. It was shown that , the sulphur capacity of slag decreases with the increase of temperature under constant gas pressure; at a constant temperature the rising of oxygen pressure results in an increase in sulphur capacity.
