Abstract Output of pig iron in China in recent years has been increasing at an increment of more than 20% every year. Meanwhile, BF ironmaking technologies have been greatly improved, coke ratio and energy consumption of ironmaking PCI rate, blast temperature and ultilization factor have been improved continuously. The operation of BF more than 1000 m3 became more mature, with better technicoeconomical indexes. The concentration rate of steel industry in China is low and much equipment are still used, causing the coexistence of the advance and the laggard equipment in BF production.
